How to Improve Efficiency of Chiller Plant

Xenergi can offers chiller plant retrofit services to optimize the performance and energy efficiency of Water-cooled chilled system plants of any size and age. The chiller plant retrofit services can reduce yearly operating costs by up to 20 percent and more in some cases. We are targetting the new retrofitted chiller plant efficiency close to 0.75kW/RT depending to existing condition of chiller plant.


The comprehensive audit need to be done to study the characteristics and trends of building operation. From the analysis of efficiency and trending for each chiller plant equipment ie. chillers, chilled-water pumps, condenser-water pumps and cooling towers throughout building operation, the selection of retrofit chiller plant equipment will be choosed based on various model and brand to to make sure the chiller plant retrofit are tailored to the operational and performance to evaluate potential energy savings, as well as the impact and payback of specific retrofit improvements. 


The following recommended improvements will be put into action and can include a number of solutions:

  1. Chiller retrofit or replacement
  2. Chiller plant re-engineering
  3. Variable primary flow system and variable secondary distribution system
  4. Cooling and cooling tower optimization
  5. Chiller plant management system
  6. Energy management system that provides detailed energy analysis and manages energy rates


Xenergi will manage the entire retrofit process, from design to commissioning. It's can be implement on EPC Model (Zero CAPEX) with including ongoing comprehensive maintenance to ensure continued optimal operation.
